FoxMail 6.5 on Linux and BSD

Foxmail is a compact, yet very powerful email program with many useful features and a pleasant interface. Foxmail supports POP3 accounts as well as Hotmail accounts and offers support for HTML email, mailbox encryption, multiple accounts and more. Foxmail also comes with a WYSIWIG tool to compose nice looking HTML emails from templates or scratch.

Bordeaux 1.6 beta 1 for FreeBSD and PC-BSD

Over the past month we have made some major progress on the BSD port of Bordeaux. Bordeaux for FreeBSD now has a .sh installer, the same one that we use on Linux, so you will need to have py-gtk installed for the installer to work properly.

Over the last couple day's I have been working on the Bordeaux for FreeBSD 7 port. We now have everything compiling and running but a lot more testing needs to be done before it's ready for a final release. Internet Explorer, Steam and Office 2003 are the only applications ive gotten around to testing thus far. The good news is everything that I have tested works fairly well on FreeBSD.

Review of CrossOver Linux 7.0.2

CodeWeavers' CrossOver Linux is a software framework that emulates the Microsoft Windows 98, 2000 and XP application programming interfaces (APIs) on GNU/Linux. This allows Windows programs to run on GNU/Linux without having to run a virtual instance of the operating system e.g. a virtual machine.

Bordeaux 1.4 Released with Microsoft Office 2003 support

Bordeaux 1.4 was released today and its a significant upgrade over the prior 1.2 release, version 1.4 comes with support for Microsoft Office 2003, Visio 2003 and Project 2003. Version 1.4 has improved Office 2000 menu support and Cellar support fixes. There has also been many small bug fixes and tweaks on the backend to improve the speed and reliablity of all the supported applications and games.

CrossOver Games 7.1.0 Released

I am happy to announce that we have now released version 7.1.0 of CrossOver Games, for both the Mac and for Linux. This new version is largely an incremental improvement; it fixes a range of bugs in a number of games. It also includes a full merge with the Wine 1.0 code base, so this is now a 'post Wine 1.0' version of CrossOver Games.

Defective CDs in CrossOver Games

It has come to our attention that the CDs supplied with the retail version of CrossOver Games in BestBuy are defective. Customers attempting to install and run CrossOver Games will receive an error message when they try to install Windows software under the product.

Wine 1.1.1 Released

The Wine development release 1.1.1 is now available.

Bordeaux 1.2 Press Release

Bordeaux 1.2 was released today and its a major upgrade over the initial 1.0 release, version 1.2 comes with Office 2007 support, better IE support and cellar support.

I just noticed the folks over at CodeWeavers are having a get the word out campaign. If your a proud customer of theirs and would like to help them spread the word about the great products that they have, this would be a good time to do it.

PlayOnLinux 3.0.7 released

Due to some issues with the PlayOnLinux's IRC server, the integrated IRC client now connects you directly at irc.freenode.com, on the #playonlinux channel other new thing, independent from the POL's version: there is one channel per language. So you can now join one of the following channels, depending on the language you want to speak.

CrossOver Office 7 Linux and Macintosh Released

I am pleased to announce that we have shipped CrossOver 7 for both Macintosh and Linux. New in Version 7 is support for Microsoft Office 2007, dramatically improved support for Outlook 2003 and Internet Explorer 6, and a broad range of improvements that should bring improvements to all Windows applications.
