Bordeaux 1.8 is now running on current Mac OS X Leopard systems. We have been working hard over the past month to get Bordeaux running on Mac OS X and all that hard work is starting to pay off. We now have everything compiling and running but like always more testing needs to be done before it's ready for final release. The installer, Bordeaux programs, built-in Wine programs, bordeaux-winetricks, and a couple small test applications have been tested. The good news is everything that's been tested works very well and everything thus far tested has been stable.

Steady march to CrossOver 8.0 builds for OpenSolaris and FreeBSD
We've been making good progress towards CrossOver 8.0. In fact, we are feeling confident enough about our progress that we put out a public release of the first beta. Additionally, I'm happy to say that we've leveraged Francois Gouget's hard work, along with a lot of work from the broader community, and have put out unsupported builds for FreeBSD and OpenSolaris.
Wine development two steps forward one step back
Now we're driving hard towards completing CrossOver 8.0. We've done a ton of work that is going into CrossOver 8; we've got Internet Explorer 7 running, and we're working on 8. We've got a huge number of fixes for Microsoft Office, notably Outlook. And most importantly, we've got Quicken 2009 working along nicely. That's critical, because Quicken 2006 goes out of support in 30 days here.
How to enable font anti-aliasing in Wine
All computer displays show images in bitmap mode. What this means is that every image is really a bunch of tiny little squares that make up the image. What this essentially means is that computers can't display really smooth curves.
