I found both interesting (and funny) results. Check the data below from Google search results (As of May 3, 2007):
59,400,000 for i love linux
145,000,000 for i love windows
(the adorable) Windows is loved more than linux by a factor of 2.4
2,430,000 for i hate linux
24,000,000 for i hate windows
but hated by a factor of 9.8 What a strange ratio! Totally false indicators.
Of course the SEMANTIC of those figures is questionable
it seems that the cardinality of the set of results containing the word "love" is about 3 times as that of the word "hate". (people are so nice on the Internet wink )
893,000,000 for love
261,000,000 for hate
And that of "windows" as more than twice as "linux"
737,000,000 for windows
307,000,000 for linux
Google Trends is showing larger search volume for windows than linux
[HYPERLINK@www.google.com]
Windows (red), Linux (Blue)
Again the SEMANTIC of those figures is not SOUND. I know that this is not scientific, not reliable as it contains a lot of junk pages totally irrelevant to the search keyword after say the first 20 results. Also, fake like the English word window(s).
However, it's very funny. Full Story |
