don't really think of myself as a recipe book reviewer but I guess I am today. I thought I was going to need a forklift to get Dooley and Brown's Cisco IOS Cookbook from my shelf to my desk but I managed to schlep it there on my own. There's a reason this tome weighs in at 1207 pages (which is much larger than the original). It has to be thorough.

Going through this book was like a trip down memory lane and then some. I remember when I first got my hands on a small Cisco lab back in the day and configured my first router via TFTP. Of course, that's a fairly minor task compared to everything this "cookbook" contains.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend this as your first textbook on IOS however, if you are responsible for maintaining Cisco internetwork equipment but don't have every possible command or solution memorized, this one's for you.
