Video and audio files are online from FSFE's recent GPLv3 conference, as well as transcripts of Richard Stallman and Eben Moglen's presentations plus the Q&A sessions

FSFE has put online video and audio recordings of both days of the 3rd international GPLv3 conference, as well as transcripts have been made of Richard Stallman's presentation and that of Eben Moglen - both include the Q and A sessions.

The conference was opened by FSFE President Georg Greve. Richard Stallman then gave an overview of the changes being made in version 3 of the GNU GPL and a preview of what changes are coming in the 2nd discussion draft. His presentation discussed DRM, patents, licence compatibility, copyleft, and licence terminiation.

Eben Moglen gave a presentation more focussed on the public consultation process and where we are in the process, internationalisation, and some comments on DRM and patents additional to what Richard discussed.

Day 2 focused on panel discussions. One panel consisted of a representative from each of the four GPLv3 discussion committees. The panelists introduced themselves briefly and then took the questions that the audience had. "DRM and enforcement" was another panel, and there was one on GPLv3 awareness.

Hopefully the idea of publishing recordings will become more common in the free software world. When the goal is to spread awareness and raise discussion, not having a camera in the room means missing losing a lot of effectiveness.
