Until I get round to sorting this forum out, i'm going to have to close it due to a change of heart at the LPI and several users of the forum who do not understand what should and shouldn't be posted. -dan@lpiforums.com - 15/March/2006

Apparently there was some sort of issue on the forums that resulted in it being shut down today. I had recently joined and noticed that the spam seemed to outnumber the valid posts. In reading various exchanges, there seemed to be issues as to how closely the forums were moderated (if at all) and the site touting itself as the "official" LPI certification forum, although it does not appear to be directly connected to the Linux Professional Institute. I'm not sure if it's coming back or not. The concept is good and there is a need for a forum where LPICs and LPIC candidates can discuss their experiences, but if it is to be revived again, it will have to receive closer moderator and admin attention than it has to date. -Trip
