Yes. And “The Death of Fiber-Optic Networks As We Know Them”. These are chapters in a book called the WiMAX Handbook, written by Frank Ohrtman.

Maybe one day we will all be internet providers as well as consumers. Charging for anything like “internet service” would be obsolete and pretty dumb then. WiFi started it, and WiMax could drive it to the max - the community-driven internet as it was intended by it’s founders.

Or, as we say here in Germany:

“Anarchie ist machbar, Herr Nachbar!”
("Anarchy works, neighbour!")
