Open Source ERP to Drive Open Source Database Adoption

The survey, conducted by Sequoia Open Source ERP, found that over 90%
of respondents preferred to use an open source database for their open
source ERP application. In contrast, only 7% of the respondents
preferred to use a commercial database such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL
Server.
“This seems to confirm the theory that as users become comfortable with
one open source solution, they will naturally look to other open source
software to fulfill their needs,” notes Si Chen, Principal of Open

mature, they could become a key driver for open source database
adoption.”
