The Shotcut open-source, free, and cross-platform video editing software written in Qt has been updated today to version 24.10, a release that introduces Shotcut’s first AI feature.

Coming one and a half months after Shotcut 24.09, the Shotcut 24.10 release introduces a new Speech to Text feature under Subtitles based on OpenAI’s Whisper, courtesy of the whisper.cpp project.
