Xj3D is an open source toolkit for X3D (the XML and network-savvy successor to VRML). It is completely written in Java and uses OpenGL for hardware acceleration. This new Xj3D M10 is the first release with an installer for Linux. It adds support for several key X3D components including: CADGeometry, DIS (distributed interactive simulation), Human Animation and GeoSpatial. Custom extensions include: Rigid Body Physics, Particle Systems, Clipping planes, Picking Utilities, Abstract Device IO. It also support the new CAD interchange profile. Full Story |
