Canonical, through Amrisha Prashar, has announced that the popular Snappy Ubuntu Core operating system is now available for Intel's recently launched Joule development board.

Yes, you're reading it right, Intel released an IoT (Internet of Things) single-board computer (see the attached image to see what's included in the retail package) and Canonical is always on top of things making its Ubuntu Snappy Core operating system compatible with the latest development boards and embedded devices.
Of course, Intel Joule also supports ROS (Robot Operating System), which provides all the required tools and libraries a software developer needs to create robot applications for devices that are powered by the Intel Joule development board.
