MKVToolNix 9.0.0 Open-Source MKV Manipulation Tool Released with New Features

Moritz Bunkus announced the release of MKVToolNix 9.0.0, the open-source MKV (Matroska) manipulation software.

MKVToolNix 9.0.0 is massive release that introduces a significant amount of new features, starting a regression introduced in version 8.7.0, related to the HEVC handler, which wasn't capable of dropping some SEI NALUs.
Another interesting change implemented in MKVToolNix 9.0.0 is the ability for the mkvinfo component to launch with its graphical user interface (GUI) on the Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems, by default.
