It would appear that Michael Tunnell, the developer of the uGet download manager software for GNU/Linux operating systems, as well as Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X, silently released the fourth maintenance build in the uGet 2.0 series.

uGet 2.0.4 is a small bugfix release that implements the ability to save and restore the width of the download column, adds support for preallocating space for downloaded files by applying the posix_fallocate() function on GNU/Linux platforms and the SetEndOfFile() function on Windows systems in the cURL plugin, and adds a compressed 256x256 icon for the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system.
