latest version of the GNOME Desktop and Developer Platform. Version 2.8 adds
greater usability, speed and better internationalization to the desktop
environment.

-- Improved internationalization support. GNOME 2.8 fully supports
40 languages, with improved support for an additional 50+.

-- Network tools that allow users to provide diagnostic information.
Developers will see:
-- Incremental backwards-compatible API additions.
-- The ability to develop GNOME software in C++, Java, Perl, and Python,
