openSUSE Leap 42.1 Launches November 4, Here's What's New

Now that the RC of the forthcoming openSUSE Leap 42.1 GNU/Linux operating system was made available for download and testing during the last two weeks, the time has come to take a look at Leap's most prominent features.

Prominent features of openSUSE Leap 42.1 include KDE Plasma 5.4.2 as default desktop environment, the integration of the GNOME 3.16 desktop environment, numerous improvements, modules, and various other under-the-hood chanced to YaST, including a new user interface and centralised user authentication on the system in the revamped Authentication Client Configuration (ACC) module.
