Linux Kernel 4.4 Will Be an LTS Release

Renowned kernel maintainer Greg Kroah-Hartman has revealed earlier the fact that the upcoming Linux 4.4 kernel branch will be an LTS (Long-Term Support) one, maintained for a couple of years.

The huge announcement was made by Mr. Kroah-Hartman on October 28, 2015, on a short post published on his Google+ page, where the kernel developer stated that great things happen during discussions at the Linux Kernel Summit event.
