Real-Time Linux is a topic that has been discussed and developed in the Linux community for a long time. The Linux Foundation today is announcing a new Real-Time Linux Collaborative Project, though it's important to first understand and realize that efforts to develop Real-Time Linux have been ongoing for over a decade.
