FFmpeg's Player to Get Features Inspired from the MPV Media Player

FFmpeg's Ganesh Ajjanagadde has announced that the next release of the open-source and cross-platform FFmpeg multimedia framework will include an improved FFplay media player component.

The patch for implementing support for interactive volume control in FFmpeg's FFplay multimedia player has been added this past weekend, on September 27, and it adds keyboard shortcuts that are identical to MPV's ones.

The key bindings can be used by default for muting, unmuting, increasing, and decreasing the volume interactively. Thanks to this new implementation, there's no need for introduction of external dependencies into FFplay.
