Linus Torvalds Announces Linux Kernel 4.3 RC2, Things Are Looking Fairly Calm and Small

As expected, Linus Torvalds released a few minutes ago, September 20, the second Release Candidate (RC) build of the upcoming Linux 4.3 kernel series, due for release later this year.

According to Linus Torvalds, Linux kernel 4.3 Release Candidate 2 is a fairly normal release which consists of the usual mix of updated driver and architecture fixes with a small amount of updates to the perf tooling. This second RC build of Linux 4.3 also received some cleanup to the IRQ flow-handler, which removed the redundant IRQ number argument.
