FreeBSD, an operating system for x86, ARM, IA-64, PowerPC, PC-98, and UltraSPARC architectures, has been upgraded to version 10.2, which brings this development cycle to an end.

Users might forget from time to time that Linux is the not the only operating system out there and that BSD is alive and thriving. There are a number of BSD derivatives in production and FreeBSD is just one of them. Its developers are quite active, and updates are released all the time.
