GNOME Tracker 1.4 Gets Its First Point Release with Dozens of Improvements and Fixes

Martyn Russell, the developer of the Tracker semantic data storage software for desktop and mobile devices used by default on the GNOME desktop environment, announced the release of the first maintenance version for Tracker 1.4.

Tracker 1.4.1 brings with it numerous interesting improvements, such as the removal of ModulePath from the comic/ebook rules in the tracker-extract component, usage of a new command-line tool in tracker-preferences, and usage of embedded album art if it is available.

The bash-completion script has been moved to a new location and greatly improved to work on real files for various arguments, inotify limits have been set for 'GInotifyFileBackend' in libtracker-miner due to changes in the upstream GLib project, missing strings have been marked for translation.
