The eighty-four maintenance release of the LTS (Long Term Supported) Linux kernel 3.10 has been announced by its maintainer, Greg Kroah-Hartman, and all users are urged to update as soon as possible.

Linux kernel 3.10.84 LTS is here to fix issues for several architectures, including ARM, PowerPC (PPC), x86, MIPS, and SPARC, to bring various networking improvements, as well as to update drivers and patch file systems issues.

In detail, we can notice that Linux kernel 3.10.84 fixes a race between route removal and OOTB response in the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) transport-layer protocol, fixes Book3S PPC kernel to userspace backtraces, and it now uses host bridge _CRS info on Foxconn K8M890-8237A for x86/PCI architectures.
