Immediately after unveiling the Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Series Ubuntu Edition laptop, the renown hardware manufacturer also published details about their smaller, 14" Dell Inspiron 14 3000 Series laptop powered by Ubuntu Linux.

Having a smaller screen than the Inspiron 15 3000 Series, the new Dell Inspiron 14 3000 Series laptop is, of course, cheaper, more portable, and a bit lightweight, which means that it might just be the preferred choice over the bigger 15" brother for many Linux and Ubuntu enthusiasts who want to purchase a mobile office.

Powered by the same Intel Celeron Dual Core N2840 processor running at 2.58 GHz with 1M cache, Dell Inspiron 14 3000 Series Ubuntu Edition laptop comes with the Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS (Trusty Tahr) operating system that is supported by Canonical with software updates and security patches for five years compared with regular Ubuntu releases, until 2019.
