According to Linus Torvalds, Linux kernel 4.1 RC3 is a Mother's Day release that brings in mostly updated drivers, especially for InfiniBand, various improvements to the ARM architecture, updated file systems and documentation, as well as perf tooling.

In addition, various small improvements have been implemented, but nothing out of the ordinary. Many of the small issues introduced in Linux kernel 4.1 RC3 are regressions from this merge window, but there are some of them quite old, even from 2011.
