Introducing Chromixium, an Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Distro that Looks Like Chrome OS

Chromixium is a new distribution of Linux based on the upstream Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) operating system, built around the Chromium web browser, and designed from the ground up to look and act like the Chrome OS operating system created by Google.

Chromixium has been in Beta since February 2015, but it was recently promoted to the Release Candidate stage of its development cycle, which means that the final Chromixium 1.0 release is around the corner.

Powered by a Linux kernel 3.13 LTS (Long Term Support), Chromixium boasts the latest version of the Chromium web browser with the Pepperflash plugin for viewing multimedia content designed in Adobe's Flash technology.
