GNOME’s Mutter Can Now Scale Window Decorations on HiDPI Displays

Florian Müllner has announced the Release Candidate of Mutter, GNOME’s default window and compositing manager, a piece of software that is in charge of displaying and managing your desktop by combining OpenGL and Clutter technologies.

Mutter 3.16 RC is the latest development version, as the team prepares to unveil the final version alongside the release of the anticipated GNOME 3.16 desktop environment next Wednesday, March 25, 2015. According to the release notes, the geometry of shaded windows has been fixed in Mutter 3.16 RC, as well as the touch interaction on window decorations. Moreover, it now takes over the handling of the cursor visibility from GNOME Settings Damon.
