How to Upgrade Ubuntu 12.10 to Ubuntu 13.10, Skipping Ubuntu 13.04
The following tutorial will teach all Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal) users how to upgrade their healthy installations to the current stable release of the world’s most popular free operating system, Ubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander).

The official support for Ubuntu 12.10 will end sometime around mid-April 2014, very close to the highly anticipated Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) operating system, due for release on April 17, 2014.
Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal) is still supported by Canonical until April, but we think that it’s best for you to upgrade your machine as soon as possible, in order to avoid any complications. Unfortunately, as Ubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) is no longer supported, you will have to skip it and jump straight to Ubuntu 13.10. Full Story |
