Talgajarda, Inc. recently introduced its Wavebend Scalable Access System into the 802.11 network market place. The Wavebend Scalable Access System is, essentially, a Linux-based, high-performance wireless server, running server-side, hard-coded Wavebend software.
It is a not only a replacement for 802.11 access points / base stations, but it can be used most importantly in the replacement of 3G, GPRS and related technologies in terms of technology, cost-effectiveness, robustness, scalability and zero-deployment time.
Here are a few points that reflect the Wavebend Scalable Access System technology against 3G. It is assumed that a viable replacement of 3G would also be a viable replacement for the technologies under 3G.
1. Bandwidth
In theory, 3G wireless networks are capable of throughput up to 384Kbps (in reality it's a different picture), which still puts them at the bottom end of 802.11b's range.
Talgajarda's Wavebend Scalable Access System can use 802.11 a/b/g all together and go up to 54 Mbps. Between 13,800 and 14,200 mobile and/or static hosts can be accommodated for one 802.11 a/b/g Wavebend Scalable Access System, at 4 - 6 kbps of shaped bandwidth.
The number of mobile and/or static hosts increases up to 50 times or more with the use of multiple 802.11 a/b/g Wavebend Scalable Access Systems with the implementation of our Spatial Tiers and Domains System.
2. Antennas
The Wavebend Scalable Access System uses its unique Spatial Channel Spread Mechanism, along with the use of specialized antennas, which use 3 Dimensional capture of signal that no other antenna can claim in a passive design. One-Watt amplification is provided in each 120-degree (sector) direction, thus covering 360 degrees.
The antennas also provide multi-polarized/multi-plane/multi-path signals that deliver signals through trees and other obstructions that destroy linear or circular polarized signals. Since the Wavebend Scalable Access System antennas can function in the dual bands of 2.4 Ghz and 5.x Ghz, this will most importantly protect the investment in the deployment infrastructure.
The Wavebend Scalable Access System, with the use of its advanced antenna technology, easily out-performs not only 3G, but any other antenna technology.
3. Coverage Area and Hops
3G requires landline connection for its base stations, like other cellular technologies. The Wavebend Scalable Access System is all wireless. There is no landline connection needed at the hops or at the coverage area. Only the main Static Wavebend requires a DSL, T-1, T-3 or satellite internet connection to share internet.
Talgajarda provides free software to share internet, authenticate at mac address level and shape the bandwidth of individual or groups of mobile/static hosts.
4. Seamless Roaming
3G can work over wireless air interfaces such as GSM, TDMA and CDMA, where they may use handoff mechanisms for GSM and TDMA and network broadcast mechanism for CDMA to provide seamless roaming to mobile hosts, which are mainly phones.
Wavebend Scalable Access System provides seamless roaming to mobile hosts, which can be PDAs, palmtops, handheld, wearable, vehicle-mounted, and laptop computers etc., without network-draining handoffs, network-draining broadcasts and bandwidth-sucking tunneling. In other words, Wavebend Scalable Access System does not use Mobile IP or other handoff mechanisms for roaming. Neither does it use the whole network broadcast mechanism (for example, CDMA).
Wavebend Scalable Access System uses its own "as and when" network appearance and disappearance mechanism. A mobile host can roam about seamlessly amongst any number of local or global Wavebend Scalable Access Systems without incurring bandwidth drain to the network, while maintaining uninterrupted, persistent connection to the internet (or any other wired or wireless networks).
For example, mobile hosts will have seamless roaming with a persistent connection to the internet when roaming between any number of separate Wavebend Scalable Access Systems, which may have any number of entirely different internet gateways located in different coverage areas!! (cities, towns, states etc.) This way, any number of Wavebend Scalable Access Systems with separate internet gateways can be implemented.
As and when the mobile hosts move from one area to another to separate internet gateways, they automatically appear in the other area and use that particular area's gateway. They will not have anything to do with the network they just passed (no care of address or similar mechanisms involved). This is only possible with the "as and when" network appearance and disappearance mechanism, which is unique to Talgajarda.
Mobile hosts operate in a seamless and secure manner, whether they are working on database applications, Voice/Video Over IP applications etc.
For example:
A client can use a pda, palmtop or laptop, and can be using the voice, video and text chat on Yahoo or MSN messenger. He/She could be calling landline or cellular phones anywhere in the world by using internet phone facility, while at the same time being securely logged into the company's intra/extra nets, and most importantly being mobile and free to roam about multiple local / global Wavebend Scalable Access Systems.
Wavebend Scalable Access System provides network connectivity, and whatever application that would work on a wired network, will also work via the connectivity provided by Wavebend Scalable Access Systems.
Most importantly, the mobile/static hosts do not have to have any client software installed to be noticed by the Wavebend Scalable Access System.
5. Frequency
3G uses a licensed frequency. The Wavebend Scalable Access System functions in the free frequency of 2.4, 5 Ghz. There is no license required to deploy a Wavebend Scalable Access System.
6. Mobile and Static Hosts
A mobile device in 3G mainly refers to a phone, and cannot provide programming, wide-scale internet, multimedia and database facilities that a regular computer can. Talgajarda's Wavebend Scalable Access System supports any mobile or static host, meaning any PDA, palmtop, hand-held, wearable, vehicle-mounted and laptop computer which uses 802.11 a/b/g wireless LAN cards and other devices supported by 802.11 a/b/g to provide connectivity (USB, PCI, PCMCIA etc).
7. Investment
Close to a trillion dollars has been invested for the deployment of 3G technology, and the break-even point has not been seen yet. At the current rate of development, we may never see a return of equity. This is because 3G base stations start around six figures and move up from there, and all the theoretical promises show a different picture in reality.
The Wavebend Scalable Access System can be deployed at a fraction of the cost of 3G, and the service providers or customers who deploy the Wavebend Scalable Access System can see a return of equity in less than 2 years, due to the large popularity and usage of 802.11 products worldwide.
8. Affordability
Only large telephone carriers or corporations can afford a 3G base station. The Wavebend Scalable Access System can also be afforded by large telephone carriers and corporations, as well as separate communities (towns, cities, states) or small businesses, individually or together. Since adjacent towns and cities would be implementing Wavebend Scalable Access Systems individually, there would be large coverage areas at the least expense, thereby generating a steady flow of income.
Company Information
Talgajarda, Inc. has just released its Wavebend Scalable Access System, which has been solely developed by its Founder and President, Mehul Sharma, and is the only company that provides an all-encompassing, 100% deployment-ready product, which includes all necessary hardware including antennas, connectors, splitters, amplifiers and cables.
Talgajarda would love to hear from and help communities, ISPs and the government. We would appreciate your time and interest to visit our website.
Talgajarda is also looking for distributors and resellers for its product.
