It doesn't surprise me at all that North Korea has embraced Linux. I did a review of Red Star OS, the North Korean version of desktop Linux a while ago. It's not something I'd recommend that you adopt for daily use, but it shows that even North Korea is aware of the strengths of Linux and open source software.
