Pear OS 8 Alpha 2 Is Now Available for Testing

Today, August 3, David Tavares has just announce the immediate availability for download and testing of the second Alpha release of the upcoming Pear OS 8 Linux operating system.

Pear OS 8 Alpha 2 comes with a new panel, a new boot splash screen, updated look and feel (including the desktop theme and icons), as well as the Pear Spotlight app for search your entire system).

A new version of the Notification Center was added in this second Alpha release of the upcoming Pear OS 8 Linux distribution, and Miro is now the default player app for multimedia files.

The upcoming Beta version of Pear OS 8 will bring in-house software, such as MyPear or Clean My Pear, as well as the latest version of the LibreOffice open source office suite.
