Linux Kernel 3.8.6 Is Now Available for Download

Greg Kroah-Hartman announced a few minutes ago, April 5, the immediate availability for download of the sixth maintenance release for the stable Linux 3.8 kernel series.

Linux kernel 3.8.6 contains a few ARM fixes (especially for OMAP2 and IMX), some arch fixes (x86, PowerPC, SPARC, s390, etc.), various Btrfs improvements, networking (IPv4) fixes and many updated drivers.

As usual, Linux kernel 3.8.6 is a must-grab upgrade for all users of the 3.8.x branch of the Linux kernel. Please update your system(s) as soon as possible. Be aware that Linux kernel 3.0.72 and Linux kernel 3.4.39 were also released today!
