Ubuntu 12.10 Has Been Officially Released

Dear Softpedians and Ubuntu fanatics all over the world, we are proud to announce today, October 18th, that the final and stable release of Ubuntu 12.10 is here, available on mirrors worldwide (see the download links at the end of the article).

Dubbed Quantal Quetzal, the new Ubuntu 12.10 operating system is the 17th release of the Ubuntu OS and it will be supported for two years, until April 2014, on both desktops and servers.

Powered by Linux kernel 3.5 and the GNOME 3.6 desktop environment (with an enhanced Unity interface on top of it) the Ubuntu 12.10 release brings overall improvements, updated apps, and lots of new features.
