Open Source WordPress Turns Nine as 3.4 Release Nears

The open source WordPress blogging platform turned Nine years old on Sunday (first WordPress release was May 27, 2003). It's hard to believe that it has been that long isn't it? (I've been a user for the last 8). WordPress started out as a 'simple' blogging platform that valued the user interface and ease-of-use over fancy knobs and deep features.
