Ubuntu Will Ship on 5% of PCs Worldwide
Last evening, Chris Kenyon, Vice President & GM, Alliances & OEM Services at Canonical, announced at the Ubuntu Developer Summit that the Ubuntu operating system will ship on 5% of personal computers worldwide, doubling last year's shipments to 18 million units.

Chris Kenyon said that on 2011, the Ubuntu operating system shipped on $7.5 billion worth of hardware, and that 8 to 10 million units shipped last year worldwide.
He also said that Canonical will open their first Beijing office sometime this year, and that Ubuntu PCs will be back for sale at Best Buy in USA. Full Story |
