While both Unix and Ric Flair pre-date the 1970?s, both proliferated in that decade. While Unix was being polished at Bell Labs, readying itself for a few very expensive government deployments, Ric Flair trained in the AWA under wrestling great Verne Gagne. In the 1980’s, Unix became the de-facto standard for scientific research, super-computing and corporate infrastructure.
