Preparing for the second Alpha release of the upcoming Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) operating system, Canonical updated last evening its default web browser and email client to Firefox 10 and Thunderbird 10, respectively.

As you all probably already know, Mozilla officially unleashed later last night, January 31st, the highly anticipated Mozilla Firefox 10.0 web browser and Mozilla Thunderbird 10.0 email client.

Firefox 10 brings interesting features, such as a hidden forward button (at least until you navigate back), implementation of Anti-Aliasing for WebGL, support for CSS3 3D-Transforms, Full Screen APIs, a new CSS Style Inspector and IndexedDB APIs.

On the other hand, Thunderbird 10 includes the ability to allow users to search the Web, and to create a new email account (in association with AOL, Hover.com and Yandex), as well as several drafting email fixes and better email search.
