5 More of the Best Free Linux Twitter Clients

Twitter has seen an extraordinary increase in the number of tweets, brief posts of 140 characters. That's right, an absurd constraint, with no pictures, video, or audio. Nevertheless, these short messages seems to bring out the best in humour, understanding, and observation, with tweets often sticking to the facts. 25 billion tweets were made in the past year alone using this text message service by over 100 million people around the world!

The feature 7 of the Best Free Twitter clients, written in July 2009, highlighted our personal favourites in this type of application. However, we have witnessed a number of other twitter clients that have improved significantly in the meantime. The purpose of this article is therefore to identify those applications which were not included in our original article, but which are definitely worth investigating.

To provide an insight into the quality of software that is available, we have compiled a list of 5 more excellent Twitter clients, all of which make micro-blogging effortless. Hopefully, there will be something of interest here for anyone who wants to tweet.
