Sauce Labs Powers Cross-Browser Testing for VMware’s Zimbra Collaboration Suite
SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Nov. 9, 2010 -- Sauce Labs, the Selenium Company, today introduced a new Sauce OnDemand test suite to certify Zimbra®, VMware’s open-source email and collaboration solution, on all browsers. Users and packagers of Zimbra now have a cloud-based service option for cross-browser testing their email clients -- without having to build or maintain a costly testing infrastructure. “As applications become increasingly web-based, ensuring their performance across browsers is critical to usability,” said Jason Huggins, co-founder and CTO of Sauce Labs and creator of Selenium. “VMware’s Zimbra® email and collaboration solution is an application that falls into this category, and the company has worked with Sauce Labs to provide their users the best Selenium testing environment possible and significantly lower the barrier to cross-browser testing with a simple-to-get-started, simple-to-use cloud-based service. Any other web-based application provider can do the same.”
Zimbra is the leading open source email and collaboration solution, being used by more than 60 million users and 150,000 organizations worldwide. With the Zimbra Test Suite on Sauce OnDemand, Zimbra users can take advantage of the premier cloud-based Selenium service and benefit from unique features such as Sauce TV, which provides real-time visibility into tests running in the cloud on Sauce OnDemand. Over three million tests have been served already on Sauce OnDemand. In addition to the Zimbra Test Suite on Sauce OnDemand, Zimbra has also published open source scripts for ‘do-it-yourself’ testing on Selenium. Zimbra users and packagers can test their applications now on Sauce OnDemand or download the open source scripts for their own Selenium testing environment.
