Release on porting Globus Grid middleware to Debian

The KnowARC1 project brings Globus2 packages to Debian Linux, paving the way for many Grid projects to be included in the popular distribution.

This work will pave the way for KnowARC to submit their ARC middleware to Debian and other Linux distributions such as Ubuntu later in the year, which will be a major achievement and should help make the Grid an easy-to-use option for the whole Linux community. It is also a piece of interesting co-operation between the US and EU Grid communities. Full Story |
