Moblin Linux will boot in about 2 seconds

At the Linux Collaboration Summit, the director of Intel's Open Source Technology Center talked about the upcoming Moblin Linux OS.

He said that Intel hopes to achieve 2-second boot time & redefine mobile user interfaces.
Tests of the latest Moblin 2 alpha release which was released 2 weeks ago show that the major components of the stack, including the graphics system, can start up in just a few seconds. Full Story |
