Bradley Kuhn and Max Spevack to keynote at Ohio LinuxFest August 2, 2007
Spevack is the Fedora Project Leader, responsible for chairing the Fedora Project Board, managing Fedora's relationship with Red Hat and day to day operations of the Fedora project, as well as development and execution of Fedora's overall roadmap. During his tenure, the Fedora Project has released Fedora Core 5 and 6, and Fedora 7 -- which merged Fedora Core and Fedora Extras. Kuhn was an early adopter of the GNU/Linux operating system and has worked with free software community since 1992. Kuhn served as executive director of the Free Software Foundation (FSF) from 2001 to 2005, when he left the FSF to be a founding member of the Software Freedom Law Center (SFLC). He is also a director and president of the Software Freedom Conservancy. The Ohio LinuxFest is a free, grassroots conference for the Linux and Free/Open Source Software (FOSS) community. Started in 2003 as a large meeting between Linux User Groups, the Ohio LinuxFest has grown into an major conference that brings software freedom enthusiasts together from all over the world. This year's Ohio LinuxFest will be held September 28 through September 30 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC). Keynotes and presentations will be held on Saturday, September 29. Admission to the Ohio LinuxFest is free, though an All-Conference pass is also available for $65 to attendees who wish to help offset the costs of putting on the conference.
