Foxnews: You may have lost Linux users as an audience
The "no spin zone" spun out of control with the publication of Jim Prendergast's article entitled Massachusetts Should Close Down OpenDocument. Let's face it, time and time again we get these kind of articles from the New York Times. We can expect that sort of thing from the bastion of far left journalism that tolerates writers who make up their stories as they go. But, a fair and balanced news organization should know better. Pendergast's article was the most ridiculous item of the day and certainly unworthy of cable's number one news channel. A news organization with capable researchers should vett their material for the tiniest faults. Fox expects that from other news organizations and should also exercise the same care. Microsoft Corporation is a founding member of ATL and other organizations that lobby strictly in the interest of one of America's most abusive monopolies -namely Microsoft. Lxer published an article in late June entitled Following Bill Gates Linux Attack Money which demonstrated concerns about Microsoft's ties to Jack Abramoff and Congressman Tom DeLay. We believe that Foxnews would do better following those tracks than publishing an article by an obviously biased member of Microsoft's political machine. It also makes us wonder, how someone like Prendergast could get past your editors and publish under Fox's banner. Does it make you wonder the same thing? Well, it should. Besides, if you do the research, you will find that the Open Document Format is a good thing for America and people across the globe. And that's what it's all about anyway. Those are our talking points and now for the rest of our stories. |
