Generations Linux is a GNU/Linux distribution that boots
and runs completely from DVD/CD ROM media. The run
environment is a merger of available memory and a read-only
image making system modifications possible seamlessly. When
used with external USB storage (or a network drive) one can
backup and then restore a customized system time and time
again.
At the core is Linux 2.6.11 kernel with XFS support.
Included is the KDE 3.4.2 desktop environment,
OpenOffice.org 2.0 office tools, rich multimedia
