In an on-line meeting of Fedora developers today, the unanimous decision was reached to approve "Release Candidate 4" as the final Fedora 18 ("Spherical Cow").

At this point, no "blocker bugs" remain. The Fedora mirrors will update in the next few days and public access will open on January 15, according to the current plan.

The January 15 release date represents a 70 day slip from the original plan. The primary reasons for the delays were problems with a major rewrite of the Anaconda installer.
