SCALE 9x: OSSIE Schedule set and rooms at Hilton going fast

LOS ANGELES – With a little over two weeks left before the first-of-the-year Linux expo, the ninth annual Southern California Linux Expo is shaping up to set the tone for an outstanding Linux year in 2011.

If you haven’t taken advantage of SCALE’s hotel deal at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport hotel – the site of SCALE 9X on Feb. 25-27 – you’d be well advised to hurry. The $109 per night rate is available as long as allotted rooms last. Also, the Open Source Software In Eduction (OSSIE) track at SCALE, providing an outstanding lineup of speakers connecting FOSS and its use in the scholastic realm, has been finalized.

Unlike in years past when OSSIE was held on Friday, this year OSSIE will be held on Saturday so educators may attend without missing classes.
