AUSTRUMI 3.4.2 has been released. AUSTRUMI (Austrum Latvijas Linukss) is a bootable live CD Linux distribution. It is based on Slackware Linux. It was created and is currently being maintained by a group of programmers from Latgale region of Latvia. It requires limited system resources and can run on any Intel-compatible system with a CD-ROM installed. The entire operating system and all the applications run from RAM, making Austrumi a fast system, and allowing the boot medium to be removed after the operating system starts.

This is an unscheduled bug fix release. The 3.2.0 release contained the wrong kernel headers by default on the non-Legacy ISO images and the default elementary theme was improperly configured. This release also addresses a bug with multi-monitor support in Moksha. These fixes are already present on installed Bodhi systems for those who are keeping their systems up to date.

Slackel KDE 4.14.18 has been released. Slackel is based on Slackware and Salix. There are four iso images two installation iso and two live iso (64 and 32 bit).

Under the hood, glibc has moved to 2.23. The update includes better performance, many bug fixes and improvements to POSIX compliance, and additional locales. The new library is backwards compatible with the version of glibc that was shipped in Fedora 23, and includes a number of security and bug fixes. We've also updated the system compiler to GCC 6 and rebuilt all packages with that, providing greater code optimization and catching programming errors which had slipped past previous compilers.

This version of AryaLinux primarily focuses on creating a stable from-scratch system and eliminating as many small nuances as possible that sum up to a not-so happy build experience: Updated all packages to the latest development of LFS and the current development version of BLFS systemd. Upgraded MATE to 1.12.0. Fixed a lot of broken features with alps like selfupdate, clean and updatescripts. Eliminated boot time warning messages.

It's been over 4 years since ProxLinux 2.2 was announced, released and then faded into the past. ProxLinux is a Lubuntu-based distribution which features the Openbox window manager as its default user interface.

Rebellin 3.0 is available. Rebellin Linux is a beginner-friendly desktop Linux distribution based on Debian GNU/Linux. The project offers two separate editions - "Synergy" which is based on Debian's latest stable version and "Adrenalin" which is derived from Debian's unstable branch. Both editions provide a highly customised GNOME 3 desktop user interface. Starting with version 2.5, a MATE desktop environment option has also become available.

The biggest issue fixed in this release is the usb booting from USB 3 ports. Besides that this new maintenance release features KDE SC 4.14.16 as desktop. The Plasma 5 version was updated to Plasma 5.6.2 with KDE Frameworks 5.21. Neptune is a GNU/Linux distribution for desktops. It is based on Debian's stable branch, except for a newer kernel, some drivers and newer versions of popular applications, such as LibreOffice. It also ships with the latest version of the KDE desktop. The distribution's main goals are to provide a good-looking general-purpose desktop with pre-configured multimedia playback and to offer an easy-to-use USB installer with a persistence option.

As with recent versions of Simplicity, it is based on the excellent LXPup and uses LXDE as the desktop environment. Mini and Desktop come with the 4.0.4 kernel, and X comes with the 4.4.5 kernel. As with our previous releases, Mini (Previously Simplicity Linux Netbook Edition) is our heavily cut down version. It comes with Flash pre-installed, the latest version of Firefox, and web versions of Spotify, Dropbox, Gmail, Google Docs and many other applications. Desktop is our fully featured distribution, based on the same base as Mini but rather than web based applications; it comes loaded with Flash, Firefox, Thunderbird, LibreOffice, GIMP, and MPlayer.

We all know someone who tried to switch to Linux but was unsuccessful. The system that he tried was too different from what he was used to, there were too many new things and the old things were not where he expected. The goal of this project is to let anyone get used to Linux. This system is not too different from Xubuntu, on which it is based, but ChaletOS has a style that everyone knows well, appealing simplicity and an impressive speed.

The developers of Voyager Live, a desktop distribution based on Xubuntu, have released a new version. The new release, Voyager Live 16.04, is based on Xubuntu 16.04 and ships with the Xfce 4.12 desktop environment.. Since the Exodus declaration in 2014, infrastructure has been put in place to support Devuan's mission to offer users control over their system. Spread the word! a simple way to spell "Devuan" is "dev dash one dot org" both dev-one.org and dev-1.org point here. Devuan aliases its releases using minor planet names as codenames. Xfce is the default desktop.

New, updated ISO images of SparkyLinux 4.3 'Tyche' are available now. As before, Sparky 'Home' editions provide fully featured operating system based on the Debian Testing, with desktops of your choice: LXDE, LXQt, KDE, MATE and Xfce. SparkyLinux is a lightweight, fast and simple Linux distribution designed for both old and new computers featuring customised Enlightenment and LXDE desktops. It has been built on the "testing" branch of Debian GNU/Linux.

Upgrades and changes: You can now copy and paste your GnuPG passphrases into the pinentry dialog, for example from KeePassX or the clipboard. Upgrade Tor Browser to 5.5.5. Upgrade I2P to 0.9.25. Upgrade Electrum from 2.5.4 to 2.6.3. Fixed problems: Clarify that users migrating from Claws Mail to Icedove should delete all their Claws Mail data to remove the warning when starting Icedove. Make both panes of Onion Circuits scrollable to fix display issues on smaller screens.

The Slackel Live Installer (SLI) now supports installation on different file systems (btrfs, ext2, ext3, ext4, jfs, reiserfs, xfs). Note that you cannot use the xfs file system and grub because after installation the system will not boot. So for xfs choose (e)Lilo instead. Both /root and /home partitions (if you create a separate partition for /home and choose to format it) will be formatted on the same file system type. A trick can be used, to format /home with GParted on a different file system and choose to not format it. So you can have /root and /home with different file systems type. Installation on EFI GPT partitions is also supported for 64-bit iso. In this case you have to create a GPT partition table with GParted and the first partition, the EFI partition, has to be at least 300MB FAT32.

Antergos 2016.04.22 has been released. Notable Changes: Packages updated for the live and minimal install environments. Antergos is a rolling release distribution. Your entire system, from the base OS components to the applications that you install, will receive updates as they are released upstream—with only a minimal delay to ensure stability.

KDE Neon User Edition 2254 has been released. This is a tech preview of the User Edition of KDE neon. It includes KDE Frameworks and Plasma built from stable released software, at time of launch, Plasma 5.6.3. It uses Qt 5.5 because Qt 5.6.0 still has a bug which breaks Plasma. It uses the foundation of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. KDE Neon is a combination of the Ubuntu LTS distribution with the latest versions of KDE software running on top of it. Neon provides a way for users to test new KDE features while maintaining a stable base operating system.

Lubuntu 16.04 is now available. Lubuntu is a fast, lightweight and energy-saving variant of Ubuntu using the LXDE (Lightweight X11 Desktop Environment) desktop. It is intended to have low-resource system requirements and is designed primarily for netbooks, mobile devices and older PCs.

Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 has been released. Ubuntu GNOME (formerly Ubuntu GNOME Remix) is an official flavor of Ubuntu, featuring the GNOME desktop environment. It is intended as a mostly pure GNOME desktop experience built from the Ubuntu repositories.
