MakuluLinux Xfce 6.0 is part of the series dubbed 'Imperium' (Latin for 'power to command'). Once again we focus not only on bug fixing and new features, but also putting the power into the user's hands; the main goal here was choice. To feature pack this edition and give the user many choices that he can navigate with a simple few clicks. This is just one more step in enhancing the total out-of-the-box experience for the end user. MakuluLinux Xfce 6 continues to push boundaries in the Linux world.

Antergos 2014.05.26 available. At last! Here it is... a new stable release of Antergos. A lot of bug fixes and improvements... and the long-awaited KDE option in our installer (KDE 4.13.1 at the time of writing), along with MATE (MATE 1.8 at the time of writing). And another announcement. We are now working with the Numix guys and Antergos will have the Numix icon theme replacing the old-but-always-remembered Faenza. We are using also Numix GTK+ themes and the GNOME-Shell theme, customized for Antergos with the name 'Numix Frost'.

Kali linux 1.0.7 has just been released, complete with a whole bunch of tool updates, a new kernel, and some cool new features. Check out our changelog for a full list of these items. One of the new sought-out features introduced (which is also partially responsible for the kernel update) is the ability to create Kali Linux live USB with LUKS encrypted persistence. This feature ushers in a new era of secure Kali Linux USB portability, allowing us to either boot to a 'clean' Kali image or alternatively, overlay it with the contents of a persistent encrypted partition, all within the same USB drive.

Fatdog64 631 is available. Fatdog64 Linux is a small yet versatile 64-bit multi-user Linux distribution. Originally created as a "fatter" (=more built-in applications) derivative of Puppy Linux, Fatdog has grown to become an independent, mature 64-bit Linux distribution while still keeping true to Puppy Linux spirit: small, fast and efficient.

Having an excellent base from which to build, LXLE releases can head straight into beta testing thanks to the superb work already performed by Canonical and their LXDE desktop team a.k.a. Lubuntu. The LXLE 14.04 release attempts to continue some successful ideas portrayed in the 12.04 series, addresses known issues and bugs, and attempts to fulfill known shortcomings of the OS. This first beta of LXLE 14.04 is intended for testers and early adopters and to introduce the current ideas and direction of the OS. Staying more out of the way, and providing a cleaner interface.

X Distro is a new Ubuntu-based desktop Linux distribution which focuses on being attractive and easy to use. The project is controlled by its community, organizations and relies on the contributions of individuals, working as testers, writers, usability experts, artists and ambassadors or developers. The project embraces a wide variety of technology, people with different levels of expertise, speaking different languages and having different cultural backgrounds.

Netrunner 14 RC1 available. Netrunner 14 Frontier (RC1), the first release candidate of our upcoming standard version based on Kubuntu 14.04 LTS is available for testing. It comes with the following features: Linux kernel 3.13, KDE 4.13.0, Telepathy 0.8.1, Skype 4.2.0.11, Firefox 29.0, Thunderbird 24.5.0, LibreOffice 4.2.3rc3, VLC 2.1.2. Please help us test and report bugs in our forums.

Robolinux 7.5.2 is the latest update of the project's Debian-based distribution featuring a pre-configured VirtualBox for running Windows as a "guest" operating system. We added Firefox 29 to Robolinux as our users did not like Iceweasel. So now Robolinux has the newest versions of Thunderbird and Firefox. We also updated our Debian-based operating system to the most current Debian 7.5 with upstream security updates and improvements. We updated VirtualBox to the latest version 4.3.12. We updated the proprietary AMD ATI Driver to the newest version. Robolinux has added more professional technical support staff to continue providing highly responsive support.

REMnux 5.0 is available. REMnux is a lightweight, Ubuntu-based Linux distribution for assisting malware analysts with reverse-engineering malicious software. It incorporates a number of tools for analysing malicious executables that run on Microsoft Windows, as well as browser-based malware, such as Flash programs and obfuscated JavaScript. The toolkit also includes programs for analysing malicious documents, such PDF files, and utilities for reverse-engineering malware through memory forensics.

The Chakra team is proud to announce the first release of Chakra 'Descartes' series which will follow the 4.13 KDE releases. This new release includes new features and updates as follows: KDE Software Compilation - the latest stable version of the KDE series; Nepomuk search has been replaced by Baloo, we have implemented a patch that permits the user to disable Baloo; Chakra Tools are fully translated into more than 30 languages thanks to the amazing job done by our users on Transifex; artwork - new Chakra Logo and new default theme for GRUB, KDM, KSplash, Yakuake, and more.

Android-x86.org is happy to announce the 4.4-RC2 release. This is the second candidate of Android-x86 4.4 stable release. A live CD image is available.

4MLinux 8.2 has been released. 4MLinux is a miniature Linux distribution focusing on four capabilities: maintenance (as a system rescue live CD), multimedia (for playing video DVDs and other multimedia files), miniserver (using the inetd daemon), and mystery (providing several small Linux games).

The openSUSE-Education team is proud to present a special, 64-bit edition of openSUSE Edu Li-f-e with the MATE desktop environment. Li-f-e MATE edition came about to support schools in Gujarat, India. They needed a synfig studio: a very simple-to-use C and Java IDE, apart from standard fare of complete office suite and other applications.

The SliTaz team is pleased to announce the new SliTaz 5.0-RC2 release candidate. We have done a huge amount of work fixing bugs from RC1, with about 500 commits in our Mercurial repositories. All the 4,300 packages have been rebuilt to found and fix bugs and to ensure everything can be rebuilt from source by advanced users. We took a lot of time to improve the user experience with our default and custom LXDE desktop.

Pinguy OS 14.04 has been released. Pinguy OS is an Ubuntu-based distribution targeted at beginning Linux users. It features numerous user-friendly enhancements, out-of-the-box support for multimedia codecs and browser plugins, a heavily tweaked GNOME user interface with enhanced menus, panels and dockbars, and a careful selection of popular desktop applications for many common computing tasks.

After months of work, here's the new operating system, available in four editions: SalentOS 32-bit 'Full' and 'Light', SalentOS 64-bit 'Full' and 'Light'. The 'Full' edition is complete with all the software available so it can be used right away to surf the web, enjoy multimedia content and work. The live image weighs around 850 MB, it is installable and can be burned to DVD, or used to create a bootable USB device. The 'Light' edition is designed to use alternative software and programs according to the tastes and preferences of each user. It contains the base system and has only a web browser and text editor installed.

The Elive team is proud to announce the release of the beta version 2.2.2. The new Elive installer is ready in beta mode and it includes: normal installation; automatic partitioning using optimal settings; automatic update of the installer with fixed bugs if there's a newer version available; checks for hard disk speeds, BIOS clock, partitions alignment, SSD optimizations; much improved mount and partition management included in the Elive tools framework; guided help during the installation process.

The team is proud to announce the release of Linux Mint 17 'Qiana' RC. Linux Mint 17 is a long-term support release which will be supported until 2019. Antergos 2014.05.14 RC is available for testing. Antergos is a modern, elegant and powerful operating system based on Arch Linux. It started life under the name of Cinnarch, combining the Cinnamon desktop with the Arch Linux distribution, but the project has moved on from its original goals and now offers a choice of several desktops, including GNOME 3 (default), Cinnamon, Razor-qt and Xfce. Antergos also provides its own graphical installation program.
