Former Microsoft exec joins open-source project

A former Microsoft executive who helped shape the company's initial response to Linux has joined a company selling open-source media software.

Fedora Core 3 tests new security model

Microsoft Claims Mozilla Firefox Not a Threat to IE

ZDNet Australia is reporting that Microsoft does not believe Mozilla Firefox is a threat to Internet Explorer. Steve Vamos, who heads the software giant's Austrialian operation, does not believe IE's market share is under attack from Firefox. "I'm not sure that that is the reality," he said. "I have seen comments around that but there is nothing I can refer to that really supports that." Vamos admitted that he has never used Firefox.
