eOsFree Linux RC 1 is available. eOsFree Linux is a re-spin of the elementary OS distribution with a customized desktop.

The Ubuntu team is pleased to announce the release of Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS. We have expanded our hardware enablement offering since 14.04, and with 14.04.2, this point release contains an updated kernel and X stack for new installations to support new hardware.

Ozon OS Alpha is available. Ozon OS Ozon OS "Hydrogen" alpha is based on Fedora 20 and it uses GNOME Shell and Gnome apps by default, customized with various extensions. The newly released alpha is aimed at developers and ships with only part of the Atom Shell: Atom Dock, Launcher and Panel, so it's not really interesting for regular desktop users. However, the beta (and obviously, the final release) should include a lot more exiting stuff.

Today I am very happy to share with you the first stable release for the third major update to the Bodhi Linux operating system. Notable features in the 3.0.0 release: Enlightenment E19.3, Terminology 0.8.0, ePad 0.9.0, Numix icons, Linux kernel 3.16, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS core. The release images for 3.0.0 support a wide range of hardware including: non-PAE processors, UEFI BIOS, SeaBIOS Chromebooks. Our stable release is not the only thing that is new at Bodhi Linux this month. Our main website, AppCenter, Wiki, and Forums have all gotten complete overhauls to go alongside this new release. If you are new to Bodhi Linux please take a look at the Quick Start Guide that opens by default when you first boot the live CD / operating system.

Today we are pleased to announce the release of Black Lab Linux MATE 6.1. Black Lab Linux MATE 6.1 is a distribution of Black Lab Linux that uses the MATE Desktop environment. With Black Lab Linux MATE 6.1 you get the same application lineup that you get with Black Lab Linux. Included are the following: Linux Kernel 3.13.0-45, MATE desktop 1.8.1, Firefox 35, Thunderbird 32, Steam Gaming Desktop, LibreOffice 4.4, GIMP, Scribus, Pidgin IM client, OpenShot, VLC, App Grid appstore. As well as all security updates until February 14, 2015 included.

We are happy to announce that the first revision of Parsix GNU/Linux 7.0, also known as 'Nestor', is available now. Parsix GNU/Linux 7.0r1 ships with GNOME Shell 3.12.2 and an updated kernel based on Linux 3.14.32. This version merges all security and bug-fix updates into an updated ISO image. We are proud to announce the official release of Netrunner 15 'Prometheus'. Netrunner 15 is revised from the ground up - as the first distribution, it officially ships the new KDE Plasma Desktop 5.2. Therefore, an upgrade from previous Netrunner series with KDE 4.x is neither officially available nor really recommended. This release is 64-bit only. What's new? This release features the brand new KDE Plasma Desktop 5.2, packed together with the freshly released KDE Frameworks 5.7 and Qt 5.4. It takes a great deal of Oxygen and a little of Breeze and mixes them into a blend of tradition and modern. All previous settings and add-ons have been carefully restored to work in this new environment. With Netrunner 15 we took the chance to ship a finely revised set of applications.

After almost two years of public development (and another year behind the scenes), we are proud to announce our first point release of Kali Linux - version 1.1.0. This release brings with it a mix of unprecedented hardware support as well as rock-solid stability. For us, this is a real milestone as this release epitomizes the benefits of our move from BackTrack to Kali Linux over two years ago. As we look at a now mature Kali, we see a versatile, flexible Linux distribution, rich with useful security and penetration testing related features, running on all sorts of weird and wonderful ARM hardware. But enough talk, here are the goods: the new release runs a 3.18 kernel, patched for wireless injection attacks; our ISO build systems are now running off live-build 4.x.

You thought the day would never come, but after six months and almost 600 fixes we're bringing you the next step on our way to a final release of elementary OS 0.3. This beta brings huge changes like: better support for Samba in Files; new calculator and video applications; UI improvements in Calendar, Photos, System Settings, Slingshot; notifications and firewall settings; better and more discoverable multitasking; updated third-party applications, including Geary, Simple Scan, Document Viewer; updated development libraries, including GTK+ 3.14; security and stability improvements; UEFI/SecureBoot support; tons of stylesheet and icon changes and fixes.

It has taken a few weeks longer than we had hoped, but we're finally happy to announce that the final release of version 21 (code name 'Darla') is now available for download (we strongly recommend using BitTorrent). The 21 beta was quite successful and we were able to make some minor changes to help improve the overall experience. Users who are currently on the beta need not re-install, updates are provided via the package manager.

We're happy to announce the 0.8.12 release of Manjaro Linux installation media, including images for the Xfce and KDE4 desktop environments, and our minimal 'Net' edition. This release is predominantly a maintenance release and includes very few changes to system defaults relative to the previous 0.8.11 ISOs, with some notable exceptions, such as out-of-the-box support for the exFAT file system and the change to pacman 4.2. Otherwise all the usual upstream updates are included, along with the latest from the Xfce 4.11 development series and the KDE 4.14 series.

Plop Linux 4.3.0 is available. Plop Linux is a small distribution that can boot from CD, DVD, USB flash drive (UFD), USB hard disk or from network with PXE. It is designed to rescue data from a damaged system, backup and restore operating systems, automate tasks and more.

The final release of Simplicity Linux 15.1 is finally available for download. Simplicity 15.1 is based on Slacko, and uses the LXDE desktop environment for Netbook and Desktop editions. Also, we are proud to announce the release of our first 64-bit edition: X. X 15.1 is a 64-bit only release and uses KDE as its desktop. Netbook and Desktop editions are our only 32-bit releases for this cycle. One thing we are particularly pleased to bring you this release cycle is the fact that Simplicity Linux can view Netflix content straight out the box. You do not need to update libraries, change agent strings, or anything else. Just use the shortcut or use Chrome to view Netflix content.
