With the right skin (Simplicity), XBMC Media Center provides a highly polished (second to none) front-end for any media playing computer along with oodles of art, posters, ratings, trailers, lyrics, plot summaries, TV guide like functionality, and so many more bits of supplemental information that I cannot feasibly cover them all here.

Desktop Sharing Install, Setup, & Configuration Guide for Linux Mint and Ubuntu
This will be a quick little guide on getting remote desktop sharing setup so that you may both receive and provide remote desktop support to or from your friends and family (or do anything else that a remote desktop connection may be useful for)!
For those that may not know, remote desktop sharing which, is also known by names such as Virtual Network Computing (VNC), desktop sharing, Remote Desktop Connections (RDC), and others, is a great way to both work on your own or another’s computer when it is inconvenient or inaccessible to access it locally.
Conversely, it also offers a terrific way to receive support if you're new to, or learning about, using Linux Mint or any other piece of software (as we all get stuck from time to time)!
Linux Mint -- Ainer.org's Suggested Operating System
Linux Mint will serve just about anyone admirably. It is based on the very popular Ubuntu (which in turn is based on the rock solid Debian), but includes an additional layer of testing, more conservative changes from each version to the next (every six months), and has an even more robust set of software installed by default.

This is my long time coming, (updated) Install, Setup, and Configuration guide for SABnzbd+ on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx). This guide will be actively maintained and updated throughout the two year life of the Ubuntu 10.04 LTS release.
RAID 5 & 6 Install, Setup, & Configuration Guide for Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx)
For this guide, I'll be addressing not a neat application (at least not directly), but rather a neat way to potentially combine your existing storage solutions while also adding some protection from a catastrophic disk failure. RAID 5, under Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx), will be the prime focus of this guide and we will make heavy use of the awesome Gnome Disk Utility tool (courtesy of Red Hat).
ASUS RT-N16 the Perfect Linux Router
Before we get into it though, the topic of focus, the ASUS RT-N16, is a Gigabit and Wireless-N compatible router that uses a Linux kernel based firmware (essentially, the operating system) by default. The default firmware (or, operating system) on the router can be replaced with a different operating system (OS) such as TomatoUSB.
